Great Garlic Mustard Hunt-Sangamon River Corridor Reserve
Sangamon River Corridor Preserve 802 Allerton Rd, Monticello, IllinoisJoin the Land Conservation Foundation in helping us get rid of garlic mustard, an invasive plant that quickly overruns our natural environment, eliminating the native plants that we enjoy and that support wildlife. The Great Garlic Mustard Hunt 2019 will come to the Sangamon River Corridor Reserve on April 13 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Meet us at the parking lot on Allerton Road at 1:00 p.m. gloves and water/snacks. We will supply trash bags and safety vests (if you have one our safety vests please bring it). Please wear gloves, long pants, closed-toed shoes or boots.

Canoes and kayaks are available to all FREE OF CHARGE! But you MUST REGISTER ONLINE for this event. Please register if you would like to use one of our boats or will be bringing your own. There will be a picnic lunch afterward with food provided by the USRC for all volunteers. Cleanup portion should end between 1 and 2pm. Lunch around 2. Please arrive by 8:45.

Meet at the Sangamon River Corridor Reserve on Allerton Road, just west of the Monticello Golf Club, from 9:00-11:00 am. Interested volunteers need only bring a pair of work gloves and their drinking water or snacks, if desired. LCF will have any tools if necessary.
